As attacks on the Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan, and Rojava, intensify in particular,  and calls are on rise for the  Kurdish unity in political and social circles.

Abdul Halim Ahmed, member of Kurdistan Worker Party and a former member of the Legislative Council, Al Jazeera canton, told our agency that protecting the gains and  achieved values by the community in Rojava, made it inevitable for the political movement to unite its speech and ranks.

If the people unite their words and speech, no force can break it up,

 "the Kurdish people's need for national unity is like the need of the human being for water and food, especially at this stage." "If people unite their speech and their goal, no force can break it up, so Kurdish national unity is an urgent need that the Kurdish people should rally around, especially in eastern Syria," he said.

 The Autonomous Administration took positive steps regarding the issue of national unity

Ahmed addressed on a number of launched initiatives and endeavors  by the SDF and the Autonomous Administration. He said in this regard, "The launched initiative by General,Mazlum Abdi for national unity, received great acceptance and appreciation "From the Kurdish community. it helped to urge political parties to intensify their efforts and discuss ways of achieving unity of the Kurdish row."

Ahmed also praised series of  launched initiatives by the Autonomous Administration in this regard, "The Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria took necessary steps towards unity; it allowed all Kurdish parties to open their offices and carry out their political activities, and released detainees and other steps. All welcomed and accepted that."

  The National Council insists on its links with the coalition

Ahmed criticized the stance of the  National Council on national unity initiatives. "Despite the initiative of the General Mazlum Abdi, the Kurdish National Council continues to insist on its links with the coalition, which has not and will not offer anything. We also saw the coalition stance  during the Turkish occupation of Afrin, Gire Spi and Seri Kania, and  killing of our people there. "Therefore, their association with the opposition will not benefit them by anything other than killing our Kurdish people."

"We must unite our speech to confront the genocide massacres  and displacement, because the only way to prevent massacres is to unite the Kurdish rank,"

Ahmed appealed to the National Council. "The only way to preserve the gains and victories  is to achieve national unity, and he called on all parties to work hard to achieve the Kurdish national unity," politician Abdul Halim Ahmed said.
