​​​​​​​Arab League rejects Century Deal

"The decision to reject the U.S. plan was unanimous and therefore was approved by all," Abul Gheit said at a press conference at the end of the Arab foreign ministers meeting at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

At the same conference, Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riad al-Maliki, praised the Arab decision,  he described it as "comprehensive and complete and covers the aspects that the Palestinians need."

He added that the Arab decision establishes a broader Palestinian diplomatic move in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the African Union to reject the U.S. deal.

The Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, will address the UN Security Council on February 11th about the  put forwarded plan by U.S. President Donald Trump, he said.

The Arab resolution rejects the new U.S. peace plan because it does not meet the minimum rights of the Palestinian people.

He points out that the U.S. plan violates the terms of the peace process based on international law and the relevant U.N. resolutions, while calling on the Administration to abide by international terms for the peace process.

The decision followed an urgent meeting of the Arab foreign ministers in Cairo, which was called by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, after his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, l put forward his plan last week, which the Palestinians rejected soon.
