​​​​​​​Al-Hol administration is concerned about future of tens of thousands of children

This came through a statement issued by the administration of al-Hol refugee camp in northern and eastern Syria, which includes thousands of families of ISIS mercenaries, the majority of whom are women and children.

Jaber Mustafa, official of the Relations Committee at al-Hol camp, said in the statement:

Al-Hol camp, which is located 40 km east of the city of al-Hasakah, which is the largest camp in north-eastern Syria and houses nearly 68,223 thousand people, and 18,132 families, with an estimated 65% of children, Syrian children (18,079) children, and Iraqis (19,203) children, and (7,158) A migrant child, bringing the total of 44,440 children inside the camp and among them there are no fewer than 224 orphaned children (104) children in care centers, and it shifts mystery about their fate and their unknown future, especially those orphans who lost parents during the war In addition to extremist organization, despite the presence of many public organizations In the field of child care and the opening of many centers that care for children orphaned but these children are suffering from many problems. Among the most important of these problems:

- Children are in a state of (sadness) because of the horrific scenes that occurred in front of them, including murders and torture in the shadow of the Islamic state and (despair), because they have no idea about their fate and their unknown future, and (deprivation) because the Islamic state was keeping children away from parents to other places to teach them methods of fighting and memorizing the Koran.

The inability of orphan children to cope with the situation in the camp, and refused to go to school to establish the idea of ​​rejecting other societies, because other societies believe that they are infidel or apostate societies.

Many children were exposed to diseases and malnutrition due to the lack of a healthy environment such as lack of medicines and weak medical staff with a lack of specialties within the camp, in addition to the lack of care centers with an increase in the number of orphan children, which exposes children to infectious diseases, lack of attention due to the large number of children, and the lack of attention due to the large number of children, and the lack of attention in nutritional support.

- The ignorance controls children and lack of awareness due to the lack of an educational team, and the failure to send these children to schools inside the camp.

- Many orphaned children in care centers who do not exceed the age of three years, teams working in this field were unable to know their identities and nationalities, which is difficult to deal with.

- There are also many children who live with families who are related to the kinship or adoption of the child, and this is called temporary care, and there are also children who are orphans inside the camp, but have not been informed about them yet.

The camp administration expressed its fear about the fate of the children, "We, as the administration of al-Hol camp, express our fear and concern over the fate of these children and their unknown future, and we suffer from many difficulties in how to deal with this slide, due to the lack of centers that work in the field of child care, and the lack of support and the lack of cadres specialized in the field of education, as the existing cadres are local, and they did not undergo any training courses, and their topics were limited to health care and concern without touching on how to change the mind, co-existence and acclimatization with other children.

The question arises, what is the fate of these orphan children in the camp with all these difficulties? How can we deal with this dilemma?

The camp administration suggested opening centers to accommodate children through the support of international organizations "as the Autonomous Administration has taken upon itself to take care of these children, and it proposes opening many shelters by supporting organizations and associations, and appointing child care professionals with a fundamental change in the field of awareness and thought and education, and changing the method of dealing, discussing and approaching children, and trying to set future goals for the child, and changing his view of society.

The camp administration implored states and governments to receive the children, "We appeal to the governments and states to communicate with autonomous administration to take their nationals, especially children, because their presence in the camp is a temporary, negative and immobility of the child's mind, which affects the child's mindset in the near future."

The Autonomous Administration has repeatedly expressed its willingness to cooperate with countries in order to find solutions, especially with regard to foreign migrant children, to return them to their home countries, and to rehabilitate them again to coexist with their new societies for a better life and an optimistic future.
