He is imprisoned in an exile, as hundreds of the Syrians who have been detained on the Turkish soil over the past few years on charges, some of them true, and based on the flimsy pretexts created and attached by the Turkish government to detained Syrian citizens, most of whom have been sentenced to many years in prison.

Ahmed Wali's story, who returned a week ago to his village of Garqly, west of  Kobani on the Turkish border   begins as he crossed the border fence between Syria and Turkey about four years ago, with the aim of working to support his seven children, having difficulty crossing and then being arrested and transferred to Orfa Central Prison.

Ahmed was sentenced to 12 years in prison at the first session of his trial for illegally crossing into the country as a "terrorist", reducing his sentence to three years and seven months after several hearings in which, Ahmed insisted that he crossed the border to seek a living.

Ahmed spent seven months in Orfa prison, after which he was transferred to a prison in the Iskenderun Brigade (TTB), "a prison that the Turkish government calls the  terrorists prison," Ahmed says.

Wally ran into a lot of Syrian Kurds and Arabs in that prison, and he says about it.

"I  met a lot of Syrians there, I was surprised when I heard from them the charges against them, the majority of them were arrested because of a Kurdish song that he heard, or he posted a picture in the Kurdish customs, or participated in one of them." Kurdish popular celebrations, or somewhat denounced Turkish intervention in the Syrian territory, are all a crime in Turkey."

The fate of hundreds of Syrians detained in Turkey, which topped the Amnesty International's 2018 regulation on the suppression of freedoms, humiliation of detainees, and physical and sexual abuse of detainees, is shrouded in mystery, but the courts are not fair in sentencing detainees, according to the  organization  .

We have been physically tortured more than once in retaliation for the killing of Turkish soldiers during the occupation of Afrin in the winter of 2018, who accused us of being terrorists, and have repeatedly offered us to become spies, looking for information from "Our relatives from inside Kobane Canton are in favour of the Turkish government, but we refused, which made things worse for the Kurds inside the prison in terms of the physical and psychological torture."

Ahmed Wali spent three years in TTB prison in Askendrun Brigade, after suffering four years in the hell of the Turkish prison basements, without any contact with the family for that long.

Ahmed's mother, who waited for news from her son, who suddenly disappeared, says she waited years to hear Ahmed's voice or news, until she saw him a week ago without any prior warning causing the  tears on her cheeks of  joy.
