Members of the Council accused the head of Accord Government, Fayez al-Sarraj, of committing a crime of high treason, demanding that he be referred to the public prosecutor for accountability.

The council called for activating mutual defense agreements to repel Turkish interference and withdraw legitimacy from Accord Government in Tripoli.

The Libyan parliament voted unanimously to refer the president of the Presidential Council to Accord Government, Faiz al-Sarraj, and his foreign minister, and his interior minister, to justice for treason.

The Turkish moves in Libya have provoked regional and international anger, especially by Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, and the United Nations has warned Turkey against the consequences of sending soldiers to Libya.
