Turkish soldiers fired gas at protesters west of Kobanê

On Thursday morning, the Russian military police began conducting a joint patrol with forces of the Turkish occupation on the Syrian-Turkish borders, west of Kobanê city.

The residents of the border villages went out, in front of the Turkish armored vehicles in the patrol, and threw stones at them, refusing their entry into the the Syrian lands, as the residents of the area consider them as an occupying force.

In Khorkhori village,17 km west of Kobanê city, the Turkish soldiers encountered dozens of the civilian protestors with tear gas bombs.

The Turkish soldiers fired 3 tear gas bombs at the protesters in an attempt to disperse them, but the protesters continued protesting and threw the armored vehicles with stones.

The Turkish soldiers had previously targeted civilians protested against the entry of Turkish forces, as part of the joint patrols, into the territory of Kobanê canton, as 4 civilians had been injured by live fire in Kobanê on the 12^th of November last year.

Furthermore, the young man, Serkhobon Ali was martyred on the Syrian-Turkish border, north of the Girkê Legê district after being hit by the Turkish armored vehicles in November 8^th last year.
