Urgent meeting of Arab League to discuss developments in Libya tomorrow

The Arab League announced an urgent meeting of the League Council, on Tuesday, on the level of  the permanent representatives, to discuss the situations developments in Libya and the threats it faces and for developing an Arab stance in this regard.

The Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, the Ambassador, Hussam Zaki said that Egypt had requested an urgent meeting for the Arab League Council at the level of the  permanent representatives, to discuss developments in Libya.

The call comes in at  a time Turkey prepares to send military forces to Libya in the framework of the memorandum of understanding on strengthening the military and security cooperation with the government of the National Accord.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a memorandum on Monday evening to send the Turkish troops to Libya, as it is known that the memorandum has been handed over to the Turkish parliament, while the speaker of the Turkish parliament called on  the General Assembly to the meeting is going to be held next Thursday to discuss the mandate for sending the troops to Libya.
