Egyptian organization: Turkey seeks to turn Libya into a hotbed of terrorism

The Justice and Development Organization for Political Studies, an Egyptian organization, prepared a report on the Turkish state's efforts to send mercenaries from Syria to Libya.

The report warned against Turkish military intervention in Libya and said that Turkey's goal is to turn Libya into a focal point for global terrorism such as al-Qaeda and ISIS, to launch large-scale terrorist attacks on Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria.

The report indicated that the transfer of terrorist organizations from Iraq and Syria to Libya will turn Libya into a magnet to attract the remains of mercenary elements who fought in Iraq and Syria.

Zidan Al-Qeni, the official spokesperson for the organization, explained that Libya is a gateway to restore Ottoman influence to North African countries after the Turkish parliament announced a vote soon to send Turkish military forces to Libya.

The organization called on the countries of Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt to form a joint military force, land, sea and air, to combat terrorist organizations inside the Libyan territories if these organizations extend and succeed in controlling all Libyan lands.

At the end of its report, the organization warned of the outbreak of a large-scale civil war inside Libya in early 2020, and the transfer of thousands of mercenaries to fight in Libya from Syria, Iraq and African and Asian countries, which would represent a real threat to the security of the countries neighboring Libya such as Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt.
