Kurdish politician: Rojava Revolution provided great opportunity for ranks’ unity

Calls for the unification of the Kurdish rank by both of the social and political circles continue, particularly with the escalation of the Turkish occupation attacks against all Kurdistan parts, targeting the gains of the Kurdish people.

The politician Idris Ahmed, an administrator in the Democratic Union Party in Girkê Legê, told our agency about the importance of unifying the ranks at this sensitive stage in the history of the Kurdish people.

"At this stage, the Kurdish people has a great responsibility in the light of the attacks they are subjected to, such as ethnic cleansing and the forced displacement, so we all are looking to the Kurdish national unity and organizing our lines now," Ahmed said at the beginning of his speech

Ahmed addressed the efforts of the Turkish occupation in exterminating the Kurdish people, suppressing their identity, erasing their history, and changing Kurdistan population in general, he added: “All Kurdish people's sons and their political representatives should move as quickly as possible to form and unite their ranks.”

Rojava Revolution has created a great opportunity for the rank unity

Ahmed pointed to the weakness and slow initiatives for the Kurdish unity before Rojava Revolution. He pointed out that there was a great opportunity now in light of the gains made in Rojava. He said, “All parties must unite their words, work for the interest of the Kurdish people and committee seriously because thanks to Rojava Revolution, we are now in front of a great opportunity to achieve the national unity that everyone is talking about, which is consistent with the sacrifices made by our people and fighters.”

Idris criticized some political parties' stances that continued to practice the policy under the roof of the parties affiliated with the occupation, noting that the policies of these parties did not serve the interests of the Kurdish people.

Ahmed stressed that the failure in achieving the national unity was the biggest mistake that was made by the Kurdish political movement. He called on all parties to act for the interest of the people and to stand in the same front in order to save the Kurdish people from genocide.
