Kurdish red crescent treats 190 disease case in daily, international Orgs ignore

The Turkish attack on the NE, Syria, since the 9th of October, has left more than 300,000 residents of those areas.

Despite the limited capabilities available to the Kurdish Red Crescent, and the work programs of most international organizations stopped after the Turkish attack, the Kurdish Red Crescent runs daily in the countryside and the areas where the displaced and the refugees are spread, accompanied by mobile clinics.

The number of cases receiving treatment daily is about 190, most of them women, children and the elderly.

In an interview with ANHA with Khalil al-Ahmad, one of the cadres working in the mobile clinics, he indicated that the Kurdish Red Crescent is working as much as possible, and by taking advantage of the available capabilities to cover the needs of the people, especially the displaced from the areas occupied by Turkey in terms of medicines and treatment and over the 24 hours.

The Red Crescent performs its work in cooperation and coordination with the local councils in the villages and towns that count the sick cases and the number of the displaced who live within the village or town to facilitate access to them.

Al-Ahmad also confirmed that due to the lack of support and capabilities, priority is given to treatment and distribution of medicines for women, children and critical situations, explaining that the Kurdish Red Crescent has not yet received any support from any party, and that it works according to the capabilities available to it.

The people expressed their thanks and gratitude for the efforts made by the Kurdish Red Crescent to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and the poor alike, calling on all international organizations to provide the necessary support and medicines, especially diabetes and heart diseases, which are almost non-existent.
