Serekaniye people: We want safety that SDF provided for us

More than 600 families live in the area of Al-Darbasiyah and its towns, and they confirm that they are continuing to resist. “All we want is to return to our homes, we want to enjoy the safety the Syrian Democratic Forces provided us again,” said one displaced woman.

The Turkish attack and its mercenaries including ISIS and Jabhet Al-Nusra, which is still continuing in the areas of northern and eastern Syria, has led to the forced displacement of 300,000 families from their cities and villages, as a result of the massacres committed against civilians, not to mention the use of internationally prohibited weapons.

These displaced families have taken refuge in the cities and regions protected by the Syrian Democratic Forces, including the ak-Darbasiyyah district of Hasaka province, in northern Syria.

The number of families displaced from Serekaniye and Zarkan to Al-Darbasiyah and its villages and towns has reached more than 600 families.

These families are distributed as follows: “Tel Karma town 60 families, Siker town 240 families, Al-Khas town 115 families and Qurmani town 200 families.” The villages are Khaznah, Tal Rashid and the village of Tal Tishreen.

After heroic resistance alongside the SDF, people were forced to displace being under rockets and heavy weapons, in addition to internationally prohibited weapons, and they desperately need the simplest living needs, as the relief organizations and concerned with the affairs of the displaced are sticking to their inaction.

Our agency, Hawar News Agency, visited some families who had been displaced from the areas threatened by the occupation, and who currently live in Al-Darbasiyah district, where the displaced people confirmed that they were living in tragic conditions.

Alia Abdullah said: "The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries targeted civilians during the start of their offensive, and committed massacres against them, as they were bombing randomly all the neighborhoods within the city."

Alia Abdullah pointed out that they were living safely before the Turkish attack began, adding, "We do not want anything, we only want to return to our homes where under SDF the safety prevailed

Alia highlights her insistence on the resistance as it is the case of the people, who always assert that they will establish the occupation until its release, and she said, "We do not want aid only, we want to return to our homes."

The people of north and east Syria adhere to the brotherhood of the peoples, and they share together in all fields, and they gave help to the forcibly displaced people from their homes.

Rangin Shukru explained that the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries stole everything that was inside their homes, and continued, saying, "Their main goal is to steal our property, we are continuing to resist, and all we want is to return to our homes and restore the security provided by the Syrian Democratic Forces.
