Qaftan: Syria needs new ideas, values, and incentives that are able to take it out from this reality

The head of the Future Syria Party, Ibrahim Qaftan, delivered a speech expressing his party's opinion on a strategic solution to the Syrian crisis, during his participation in the "Ethnic Genocide and Demographic Change in North and East Syria Forum."  

Qaftan said: "Political parties that did not contaminate their hands with blood in Syria, can play an important role in maintaining the minimum level of stability during this period, as well as accepting the Syrian parties that can change their national based ideologies though they had many turning points to pass , such as the national –based parties,  Baath Party and other parties , to have a wider circle for the national foundations guaranteeing a free and strong Syria, and to share with other parties, without thinking of eliminating them but rather seeking to correct their method."

Qaftan said that any solution would be incomplete without the participation of all the effective actors and would be an incomplete solution, "Syria needs new ideas, values, and incentives capable of taking  it out from this reality."

Qaftan asked the regime to what he called "repairing faults" in the regime's mentality, adding, "With the existence of the security mentality and ideas of the regime, and in the light of the decline in the  national values ​​in Syria, it is impossible to cross the new stage with these tools under a center -ruled government.”

“Unless these faults are fixed in the Syrian body, it will be impossible, and neither will the sponsoring countries achieve any positive result for their interference in Syria."  

Qaftan said: "The Syrian situation has moved from the military recalcitrance situation that prevailed before the international military intervention, to a political, economic and social recalcitrance, whose features show the accelerating pace of the Syrian collapse at all levels.” 

He added, "A collapse shows the failure of the regime and the political and military opposition in the deep understanding of the Syrian problem, and their inability to come up with a road map for getting  Syria out of this tunnel, through the regime's deals with its allies, which have sold and are still selling Syrian lands and riches to them at the lowest prices, in exchange for their protection.”

“In addition to the absence of a future and present political and economic vision, as well as the Syrian military and political opposition who pledged all their abilities and capabilities for the Turkish interests, even if it results in losing the homeland, the bloodshed of Syrians and civilians, and the establishment of the rule of authoritarian and criminal mafias as it  happened in Afrin, north and east Syria through ISIS groups with other names.”

Qaftan saw that “salvation path for Syria needs a completely different path, one for which democratic forces and autonomous administrations have established their first principles of recognition of all components and the adoption of a democratic approach. Syrians need in the program of  pluralism and non- central rule and democracy to impose their national choice that is the third one, and the adoption of citizenship as the basis of the Syrian structure after we all get out of the reasons that caused this tragedy starting from the regime to the political and military opposition.”
