Egyptian message to Security Council ... Erdogan- Al-Saraj agreement violates international resolutions

In the message sent to the Security Council yesterday, Egypt considered that the two memoranda of understanding between Ankara and the reconciliation government were a violation of Skhirat agreement signed between the Libyan parties.

In addition, the United Nations demanded not to recognize the consequences of the maritime delineation between Ankara and " National Accord Government", clearly stressing its refusal and its non-recognition of the two memoranda of understanding signed in Istanbul between Turkey and the government of the National Accord in Libya, which stipulated defining maritime powers in the Mediterranean and the nature of cooperation Military between the two parties.

Yesterday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed that his country would not allow anyone to control Libya only days since Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's suggestion to send Turkish forces to Libya to support the reconciliation government in Tripoli.

He added, "It is an issue at the heart of Egyptian national security."

The agreement signed between Turkey and the National Accord Government headed by Fayez al-Sarraj provoked regional and international anger, and the Libyan parliament considered what Sarraj did as a great betrayal.
