Kobanê University students: Boycott Turkish goods

Condemning the Turkish attack on northern and eastern Syria, and calling on the people of the region to boycott Turkish goods, Kobanê University issued on Tuesday a statement to the public opinion.

The statement was read in front of the university building during the gathering of students by the spokeswoman for the university students Yasmin Mohammed.

During the statement, the students made it clear that the Turkish occupation, with the help of its mercenaries of Jabhet al-Nusra and al-Qaeda, launched brutal attacks on our people in northern and eastern Syria and put their life under threat using all sophisticated weapons and policies and exploiting its economy.

The statement said that Turkey launched barbaric attacks on northern and eastern areas of Syria and derived its financial support for the attack from the extremist countries such as Qatar and from its trade.

The statement added, "In response to this barbaric attack, we are required to support our fighters who are repelling the occupation and its mercenaries by all means and possibilities available, and to preserve the dignity and unity of the peoples of the region."

The statement stressed, "Our national people in Başûr Kurdistan and our friends in the world have worked seriously to boycott the Turkish goods and ease support for the Turkish economy, and reaped great results in that. As Kobanê University, we join this initiative and call on our people to work on boycotting those goods and not to buy any Turkish product because buying any product turns its money to bullets and bomb against us and to kill our children.

We also demand the Autonomous Administration to prevent importing any Turkish products and to take decisions on them. All traders in northern and eastern Syria must stop all dealings with the Turkish traders and not to buy any goods from them.

We are very confident that this step will be a great resistance, and we will get concrete results from it."

After reading the statement, the students went to Kobanê to distribute the leaflets demanding not to buy Turkish goods.
