Algeria to demonstrate amid tight security

Algerians are preparing to demonstrate on Friday in mass demonstrations in various states to confirm the continued rejection of symbols of the regime of the resignation of President Abdel Aziz Bouteflika in the national political scene, headed by interim president Abdelkader Ben Saleh, appointed by parliament a few days ago.

The "Sky News Arabia" said that the Algerian authorities, closed the ports of the capital in anticipation of the protests, "the eighth Friday," rejecting the return of symbols of the regime of Bouteflika.

According to local reports, the security authorities, like every week, took strict measures to prevent demonstrators from other states from reaching Algiers, citing fears that the security forces resorted to the use of force.

Numerous social media outlets in Algeria have called for demonstrations again, Friday, aimed at removing symbols of the regime from the political scene.

In an earlier statement, lawyer Mustafa Bouachachi, one of the Algerian movement, said that "Algerian do not accept that the symbols of the regime such as Abdelkader Ben Saleh lead the transitional phase and organize the next elections."

"They cannot be part of the solution, and we asked since 22 February that the entire system must go."
