Evacuating last batch of civilians including foreigners from al-Baguz

Over the past few days, the Special Forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have liberated thousands of civilians, including the families of IS mercenaries from al-Baguz village after carrying out special missions deep within IS' control, among them hundreds of IS' elements of various nationalities who surrendered to SDF.

In spite of all the obstacles, SDF have not ceased to complete their basic task, namely the liberation of the civilians. They sent their own forces who are experts in the street war that were formed during the liberation of many cities in the Syrian north such as Manbij, al-Tabqa and al-Raqqa to be able to surprise the mercenaries deep into the area where they are holed up, liberate more than 5,000 civilians, and even the families of mercenaries and deliver them to safe areas far from the fighting fronts.

According to those who were liberated, there are a large number of mercenaries who refused to surrender to SDF. They are of different nationalities, and those who were liberated explained that the majority of them were first-class leaders and founders of the group, most of them are of Iraqi nationality in addition to French, Saudi Arabian, Uzbekistani, Egyptian, Russian, British nationalities, and other European and Asian countries.

On the other hand, through their special teams, SDF managed on Friday to save the last batch of civilians who were trapped in al-Baguz village, in addition to the surrendering a number of other mercenaries among them a mercenary of French nationality, mercenaries from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a number of families of mercenaries from the Balkans.

After the evacuation of the last batch of civilians, a commander in the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed that they announced the launch of the final phase of the campaign to liberate the remaining of al-Baguz village, where the remained mercenaries are holed up. With the liberation of this last spot, the entire areas of north and east Syria will be military liberated from IS mercenaries.
