1st day of 2nd ME Youth Conference ends with a documentary film

The first day of the Second Middle East Youth Conference, which began on Wednesday morning with the participation of young people from several Middle Eastern countries, ended.

The participants began the conference with denouncing the authorities of southern Kurdistan, "Kurdistan Region," which prevented 10 revolutionary youth movements and parties to participate in the conference.

A member of the preparatory committee Harun Apoy began the conference, which was attended by young people from Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Armenia and various cities of Syria, with a speech considering the conference a great historic step for the values ​​of Middle Eastern societies.

In the majority of the speeches delivered later by members of more than 50 parties and youth organizations, they saluted the historic resistance of the Democratic Peoples’ Party’s parliamentarian Leyla Guven and scores of other prisoners in Hewler, southern Kurdistan and Europe, demanding the freedom of the international leader Abdullah Ocalan assuring their pursuit to building a pluralistic democratic Middle East.

On the other hand, the youth of the Sudanese Communist Party and the youth of the Tunisian Communist Party joined the conference through the Skype application and expressed their views after the authorities of the Kurdistan region of Iraq prevented their participation in the conference, along with a number of other youth organizations.

At the end of the first day of the Youth Conference, a documentary film was presented that included excerpts from the uprisings of peoples in the Middle East countries such as Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Tunisia, Egypt, Iran, Palestine, Libya and the revolution of the people in northern and eastern Syria.

The conference will resume its second day on Thursday.
