QAMIŞLO

The 15th of February marks the 21st anniversary of the international conspiracy that targeted the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan in 1999, in which the intelligence of many countries, including Turkey took part. This day is called the black day in the Kurdish circles, and the Kurds and their friends denounce it every year.

On Friday, Girkê Legê district's residents went out in a demonstration, carrying the pictures of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, stressing the continuation of the struggle until Ocalan's freedom is achieved, chanting the slogans "Enough to Silence towards Our Leader's Cause."

The demonstration launched from the Martyr Xebat Dêrik Square in the center of Girkê Legê district, passing through the main streets, during which, the demonstrators chanted the slogans calling for the freedom of Ocalan.

The demonstrators stopped in the center of the district. There, the co-chair of Girkê Legê district's council Mohammed Jamil delivered a speech and said, "The conspiracy that targeted the leader aimed at ending the project of the democratic nation in the Middle East, but they failed because the Kurdish people derive their ideas from the philosophy of the leader, and they consolidated the concept of the democratic nation in Syria and brought together all the components of Syria."

At the end of his speech, Mohammed Jamil condemned the international conspiracy that targeted Abdullah Ocalan. The demonstration ended with the people's insistence on working on Ocalan's freedom.

VIENNA

In the Austrian capital of Vienna, dozens of the Kurdish community's people went out a demonstration to denounce the international conspiracy holding the pictures of Ocalan and banners with "Freedom for Ocalan" written on.
