Demo in al-Sheikh Maqsoud, Finland demanding Ocalan's freedom

The people of al-sheikh Maqsoud in Aleppo chanted the slogans calling for the freedom of Ocalan during the demonstration which took place on Friday in the 21st anniversary of the international conspiracy that targeted Ocalan, while the Kurds in the Republic of Finland organized a two-day march to denounce the plot.

Under the slogan "We Will Break the Isolation of Imrali and Break the Fascism," the residents of al-Sheikh Maqsoud district of Aleppo went out a massive demonstration.

The demonstrators gathered in front of the Democratic Union Party's (PYD) office in the western part of the neighborhood, holding banners with "We condemn the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan. Hand in hand, to revolt for the freedom of the leader. Long live the prisons' resistance. Occupying Afrin is the continuation of the plot. Ocalan is the symbol of peace and free thought. The people of Aleppo are the people of the leader Ocalan, and the residents of al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood salute the leader Ocalan" written on.

The participants also carried the pictures of the leader Ocalan and the hunger strikers.

The demonstrators marched through the main streets of the neighborhood amid the closure of all shops, condemning the plot and chanting the slogans "Freedom for the Leader of the Nation. The Resistance is Life. Long Live the Resistance of the Age. No Life without the Leader."

As the people arrived at al-Ashrafiyya Square, they held a minute of silence. Then, the participants listened to an audio recording of the conversations of Ocalan about the Kurdish Cause and the problems witnessed in the Middle East.

After that, the administrator of the Democratic Society Movement Hassen Koçer delivered a speech in which he pointed out that 20 years passed on the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Ocalan, explaining the role of the martyrs who repelled the plot until the last breath, and formed a firecracker to protect the thought and approach set by the leader Ocalan.

In his speech, Hassen Koçer recalled the commander's statement, "If you ask me how to resist in prison, my answer is that because I am imprisoned because of the reality of my community as if they would gave me the garden of paradise, I would not live in it if my society is not liberated."

Koçer stressed that the leader's steadfastness in Imrali prison provide the Kurdish people with strength and support. Imrali prison will be a platform for the free people, would prove to the world that in the spirit of Ocalan's resistance, and would be the Qibla for everyone wants freedom and democracy.

In the context, the administrative member at Kongra Star in Aleppo Nahla Mostafa denounced all the forces that participated in the plot, saying, "We will show our determination to escalate the struggle until the isolation on the leader is lifted. We also salute the revolutionary spirit of all the strugglers, resistant people and the martyrs of freedom"

Nahla added that the revolution in Rojava was known as the revolution of women and was a great response confronting the conspirators as it took its place in the golden pages of the history of the revolution in Rojava thanks to the philosophy of Ocalan advocating women's freedom. She concluded that the goal of tightening the isolation and all the actions conducted by the occupation Turkish government in Afrin amid the silence of the states is to eliminate the identity of the Kurdish peoples and all politicians.

The mass demonstration ended with the chants that called for the freedom of Ocalan.

FINLAND

The Kurdish people in Vantaa city of Finland Republic organized a march to denounce the international conspiracy that targeted Ocalan.

Dozens of Kurds in Finland Republic participated in the march, wearing vests on which the pictures of Ocalan were drawn, and raising his pictures and banners with "Freedom for the leader Ocalan" written on in English.

The march launched on Friday from Vantaa city, and will last for two days to reach the Finnish capital of Helsinki where an activity will be held.
