'We to free our leader Ocalan, Afrin'

As part of a series of events condemning the international conspiracy against the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 15, 1999, and in support of the parliamentarian Leyla Guven, the Young Women's Union in Kobanî held a meeting for Kobanî young women.

The meeting was held at the Union's center in Kobanî. During the meeting, the administrator of the Young Women Union, Jiyan Koçer delivered a speech in which she pointed out that the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, rejected slavery. Therefore, an international conspiracy was fabricated against him. She added, "On 15 February 1999, the international conspiracy against the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, was waged, and as young women, we have the duty to reach the freedom of our leader."

Jiyan added, "The women who remained in Afrin are daily subjected to torture, rape and murder by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. We will liberate our leader and Afrin."

Moreover, the meeting ended by chanting the slogans "There Is No Life without the Leader, Women are Life and Freedom."
