Corpse of emir of Yazidis in Kurdistan, world bid farewell to his resting place

Today, the emir of the Yazidis in Kurdistan and the world Tahsin Bek was bid farewell to his final resting place in a funeral ceremony attended by officials of political, civil and religious organizations and institutions.

After the body of the emir of the Yazidis in Kurdistan and the world was brought to Başûr, "south of Kurdistan" from Germany, his body was transferred to his home where a funeral was held, where officials of political, civil and religious organizations attended.

The funeral ceremony of Tahsin Bek was held in front of his house in the Sheikhan district of Dihok in the southern region of Başûr.

After the ceremony, the body of emir was bid farewell into his house upon his will.

The emir was born on 15 August 1933 in the village of Baadri of Sheikhan District. He was appointed emir of the Yazidis by his grandmother Mian Khatoun, 15 days after the death of his father, Saied Ali Bek, in the summer of 1944.

The emir of the Yazidis died on Monday, January 28, at a hospital in the German city of Hanover, 86 years after a long disease.
