In February... People from everywhere headed to Afrin

The solidarity of the peoples of northeast Syria, Aleppo city, and four parts of Kurdistan played an important role in participating in the Resistance of the Age. Every day they lived resistance and steadfastness alongside the people of Afrin and YPG and YPJ fighters. They were an important source of moral support for the resistance and once again failed the schemes of Turkish occupation in the region.

From February 5th to the 58th day, they supported the Resistance of the Age

On the 5th of February 2018, the resistant people of Afrin and al-Shahba received the first convoy of the people of the north of Syria "Manbij, al-Tabqa, al-Raqqa" and the Euphrates and al-jazeera regions with all their components, big and small amid great enthusiasm.

On the night of February 6th, another delegation arrived from Şengal, Euphrates and al-Jazeera to Afrin, and then the streets of the city were overwhelmed with chanting the slogans of victory and high morale. The people of Afrin were waiting for the delegation with enthusiasm and strength in conjunction with the most violent attacks.

After two days of activities, they went to Janders area, where the resistance and the area were witnessing the fiercest battles and bombardment of the aircrafts, the people returned to their areas in a procession consisting of dozens of cars after confirming their support for the Resistance of the Age.

On February 11th, a parliamentary delegation from Başûr Kurdistan, consisting of representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the Islamic Union, the Movement for Change and the Communist Party arrived to Afrin canton. They also documented the destruction of Tal Aindara village after the Turkish warplanes launched raids on it. They also received the names of the martyred and wounded civilians who were affected by the Turkish bombardment from the administration of Avrin Hospital in order to send them to the United Nations' organizations.

During a press conference in front of the headquarters of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, the parliamentary delegation responded to the warning of the Turkish Consul in Hewler for not supporting the Resistance of the Age in Afrin. They said that they would support the cantons of Rojava under the laws of the Parliament. The Parliament is independent and not affiliated to any party.

The delegation also met with the Kurdish political parties in Afrin, stressed that it is necessary to put aside partisan disputes and disagreements, stand together against the Turkish occupation and stop the aggressive attacks on Afrin people.

The date of the 19th of February was for the people of Aleppo city to participate in the Resistance of the Age, where a procession of thousands of people from the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, Bustan Pasha, Bedin, al-Hellok, al-Sheikh Fares, al-Sheikh Kheder, al-Sheikh Maqsoud, al-Ashrafia, al-Seken al-Shebabi arrived to participate in the Resistance of the Age with the people of Afrin and provide support for them.

Although the city was targeted by a barrage of missiles during their arrival, the people of Aleppo insisted on entering the city and congratulating the popular resistance. The people of Aleppo also insisted on sending their message to the world and to Erdogan on the second day of their arrival.

Most of the villagers left their homes to receive the procession. Even the shepherds left their sheep and headed for the public road, and the voices of the people rose with cheers such as "Long live the Resistance of the People and Women's Protection Units (YPG and YPJ.)"

The aircrafts targeted the resistors' column

On the night of February 22nd, another column of people from the north-eastern regions of Syria and Şengal arrived at Afrin, before the entrance of Afrin at Zarateh village. The warplanes flew and targeted them, killing a civilian and injuring 12 others.

On February 24th, the delegation from northeastern Syria and Afrin residents left for a demonstration. On the second day, they went towards Mobata district in Afrin canton at a time when it was witnessing attacks and bombardment.

On the other hand, the delegations donated blood at Avrin Hospital to treat the wounded civilians. What was witnessed in February is considered a rare example of resistance.

Until the last day of the Resistance of the Age, the peoples who believed in freedom supported the people of Afrin and the fighters of the People and Women Protection Units.
