Ed-Dirbasiya women: Leyla's demands are all Kurds'

Women from ed-Dirbasiya district pointed out that Leyla Guven proved the free women's will through her resistance and steadfastness against the Turkish occupation, and they said, "Her demands are legitimate."

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and the parliamentarian of the Democratic People's Party in Colemêrg Leyla Guven has been on her hunger strike since more than 80 days, denouncing the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

In this regard, women from ed-Dirbasiya pointed out that Leyla Guven has proved the will of free women who refuse to obey and surrender to the occupying schemes.

The citizen Hendiya Bakr condemned the Turkish occupation state's practices against the politicians detained in its prisons and said, "Leyla Guven's resistance is a historic resistance and demonstrated the strength and will of the free women."

Hendiya said that the world stood in solidarity with the resistance of Leyla Guven who refused to surrender, and continued her hunger strike even after her release.

For her part, Amal Shemmo said, "The steadfastness and resistance of Leyla Guvan are a victory over the Turkish state."

Amal pointed out that as ed-Dirbasiya district's women, they will continue their activities in solidarity with Leyla Guven, "We will continue our activities to condemn the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan."

At the end of her speech, Amal hoped that the women around the world would do the impossible to lift the isolation on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The citizen Adlah Mesto said, "Leyla Guven has continued her hunger strike for more than 80 days, and her steadfastness and determination are a great response to the Turkish fascist state."

Adlah Mesto called on the international and human rights organizations to consider the demands of Leyla Guven, and she said, "Her demands are legitimate and they are the demands of all the Kurdish people."
