Mourners: Turkey's goal of "buffer zone" is to divide Syria, commit massacres

Hundreds of residents of al-Hasakah city bid farewell the corpses of the two martyrs Dilbrîn Hasakah whose real name is Berzan Hajj Mahmoud and he is a fighter in the ranks of the People Protection Units (YPG) and Zagros Sayed whose real name is Mahmoud al-Hamada and he is a fighter in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to their last resting place in the Martyr Dijwar Cemetery. The martyrs were martyred during their participation in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

The mourners received the martyrs' corpses in front of the Martyrs' Families Council in al-Hasakah city, and they headed towards the Martyr Dijwar Shrine in al-Dawoodiyya village.

After the arrival of the mourners to the cemetery, the ceremony started with holding a minute of silence, and that was accompanied by a military parade performed by the People and Women Protection Units (YPG, YPJ) fighters. Then, several speeches were delivered, including a speech on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Council by Samiya Khalil, on behalf of the military forces by the commander Hayder Hasakah and on behalf of the Autonomous Administration in Lebanon by Abdel Salam Ahmed.

The speeches expressed condolences to the martyrs' families, and stressed that by virtue of the martyrs, the gains were achieved by the peoples of the area and their military forces through the Democratic Autonomous Administration.

The words expressed solidarity with the parliamentarian Leyla Guven in her hunger strike, and demand to lift the isolation on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The statement called on the peoples of the area to unite and organize themselves to stand against any aggression launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the area because their goal is to divide Syria and thwart the democratic project in the north of Syria.

The words stressed that the Syrian north is a safe area and defeated terrorism thanks to its forces of YPG, YPJ and SDF, pointing out that Turkey's goal of forming this zone is to commit massacres as it did in Afrin and other areas it occupied, and to annex the area to Turkey.

After that, the two martyrs' documents were read by the member of the Martyrs' Families Council Rujda Ahmed, and they were handed over to their families.

Then, the martyrs were buried amid the mothers' trills and the slogans that salute the martyrs and their sacrifices.
