Another face of resistance ... Doctors stood in Kobani till the end

The people of Kobani had resist against the brutal war which launched by IS against the city, along with the fighters in the fronts, some doctors had done their best and fight with medical and its tools in the field hospitals, rejecting to get out of the battle, to become the symbol of resistance, sacrifice, and glory.

In 26 January 2015, People and Women Protection Units announced the liberation of Kobani city from IS mercenaries after a fierce battle continued for 134 consecutive days.

ANHA agency met with two doctors did not leave Kobani, they were witnesses of the resistance there.

D. Muhammad Ahmad (General Surgery) said, "I swore to be in the front lines, and do what are needed form surgeries and treatments for the fighters."

He added that there were two nurses, one of them was martyred, the martyr Zozan, he pointed out to the difficulties at that time, and their resistance believing of the Kurdish struggle in facing the enemies who wanted to genocide the Kurds wherever they are.

D. Muhammad Aref Ali (Radiologist) was also there, he said" the hardest thing is to see the injured persons and could not mediate him for lake of the necessary medical supplies, or die in front of you, and this is what happened a lot."

He added," we had 4 field hospitals in the houses and we did our national duty as best we could and with high spirits with the other colleagues who stayed in Kobani."

At the end of his speech, he said "Kobani became a symbol of the Kurdish resistance till victory. This is honor and bride for all of us."
