Asayiş forces begin arresting people who participated in demonstrations against Turkish occupation

Asayiş forces in Başûr (southern Kurdistan) began arresting citizens who took part in demonstrations against a Turkish base in Şeladizê town.

Yesterday, hundreds of people from Şeladizê in Başûr Kurdistan on a Turkish base and expelled Turkish soldiers and burned the vehicles and tents in it, against the background of the killing of 4 civilians as a result of the bombing of Turkish aircraft to the region. Today Asayiş in Başûr, Kurdistan, began arresting the participants in the demonstration.

According to information, Asayiş has arrested dozens of citizens so far. In the town of Şeladizê Asayiş stopped Khaled Ja'far, while another citizen from the town of Dirlukha was arrested who had called through Facebook to support the people of Şeladizê.

Asayiş forces raided the house of the activist Bedel Barawi in Dehok city this evening. Activist Kouvan Saleh Rikani was also arrested, as well as the arrest of the director of NRT's office in Dihok and the closure of the office.

Asayiş forces continue to detain the residents so far.
