Sit-inners: We to not step back until achieving victory

The residents of Dêrik district of Qamishlo canton chanted slogans denouncing the Turkish threats to northern and eastern Syria during their participation in the 28-day human shields tent on the border between Serê Kanîyê and Bakur Kurdistan.

During the sit-in, a number of speeches were delivered, including the speech of the joint presidency of Dêrik District Council of Qamishlo by Delber Ali and the speech of the administrator of the rural towns of Serê Kanîyê by Fatima Barhou on behalf of Kongra Star.

The speeches pointed out that their sit-in and participation in the tent of human shields confirmed the rejection of the peoples of the region to any kind of the threats to their land and their standing in solidarity to face the threats, and that they will not take a step back as long as the threats continue on the regions of northern and eastern Syria. They said, "We will continue in our activities because we are the owner of this land and watered it with the blood of our martyrs, and we will not give up our land no matter what the cost."

The speeches called on all the people in northern Syria to support their forces and continue the sit-ins until achieving victory, failing the Turkish occupation plans, lifting the severe isolation on Ocalan and achieving his freedom.
