Al-Tabqa women go on sit-in against Turkish threats

In protest against Turkish threats to occupy areas in north and east Syria, the Women's Department, in coordination with the Young Women's Union in al-Tabqa, set up a sit-in tent. The tent was set up in the parking yard behind the central market in al-Tabqa, the sit-in is to last for 3 days.

The sit-in, which began with a statement, was attended by dozens of women from al-Tabqa and decorated with flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Young Women’s Union and the Syrian Women's Council.

The statement was read by the administrator of Women's Department, Nasra Abaka has touched upon the violations practiced by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in occupied Syrian territories, especially in Afrin.

The statement also said:

"Listen, Erdogan, you and those who support you, beware of justice has woken up from the sneeze and nothing will stand in its face, we began several statements, marches and statements and we continued with sit-ins and steadfast condemnation of the barbaric Turkish occupation."

At the end of the statement, the statement promised to avenge for the people of Afrin and every woman, child and elderly person who had been displaced from their homes and anyone who was imprisoned and forcibly deprived of his freedom.

The sit-in will continue for three consecutive days.
