'Martyrs have become shields for the people to live safely'

On Monday, hundreds of Kobanî people bid farewell three martyrs who martyred in various places and times to their last resting place in the Shrine of the Martyr Dejla.

The funeral ceremony was held at the Shrine of Martyr Dejla in the south of Kobanî to commemorate the two martyrs of the Internal Security Forces who were martyred when they were performing their duty Wes Romi and Jelal Sheikh Ali and the fighter in People Protection Units, Baqer Nassan (Bakur) who was martyred in battle to defeat terrorism in Hajin area of Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The ceremony began with a military parade organized by members of the Internal Security Forces. Then, Ismail Khalil delivered a speech on behalf of the Internal Security Forces in Kobanî and said, "We have reached this stage thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs. The martyrs have become shields so that the people can live in safety."

Khalil Muslim spoke on behalf of the families of the three martyrs, and said, "Today, we bid farewell the three heroes who have watered the soil of this land with their blood. We are proud of them."

Then, the three martyrs' documents were read and handed over to their families.
