Afrin women concluded their activity emphasizing to continue struggle, resistance

To condemn the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and in solidarity with the activity of Leyla Guven, more than 60 women of Afrin went on hunger strike on 13 of this month under the slogan "We Will Destroy Imrali Regime and Live Freely with Ocalan," in Babens village of al-Shahba canton.

The place of the hunger strike was decorated with the flags of Kongra Star and the photos of the martyrs of YPJ in the Resistance of the Age, the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and Leyla Guven. In the third and last day, the members of Kongra Star, the families of the martyrs, the communes and the councils of the village of Babens and Tal Shaeer, Golden Crescent Movement and the Democratic Autonomous Administration visited the place of hunger strike.

After holding a minute of silence, many speeches were delivered by the administrator in Kongra Star in Babens village Zainab Khalil and the administrator in the Golden Crescent Nahida Khalil.

The speakers pointed out during their speeches that the enemies of the Kurdish people and the enemies of humanity planted hatred in the hearts of the people towards their own language and culture till they have been away from the love of the country and fighting for it.

They stressed that the thought and philosophy of the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan drove the people out of injustice and oppression and brought light with him until we reached this day of special status with democracy, peoples' fraternity and love for all components and segments of society to each other as the case of North Syrian.

The speeches stressed on the basis of what Ocalan has provided and continues to provide for the freedom of peoples. We must continue and strengthen the struggle and activities calling for his freedom as we are the people who see the freedom of Ocalan is our freedom.

The event ended with chanting the slogans that salute the resistance of Leyla Guven and the free women, and demand freedom for Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
