One of al-Walda elders: Fully prepared to defend our regions against Turkish attack

After the Sheikh's remarks in an interview with ANHA agency on the latest threats by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to occupy North-East Syria, which was liberated by SDF.

Al-Salama said "The threats by Erdogan came with the approach of the Syrian Democratic Forces fighters to liberate Hajin city entirely from the hands of IS "the grandchildren of the Turkish state" therefore, we are absolutely certain that the Turkish state is the main supporter of IS."

All political and popular positions in North-East Syria have linked Turkish threats to a military incursion, with the Turkish state trying to help IS which is collapsing in its last stronghold in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

Erdogan's threats proof that he is trying to spread strife and target stability in North areas of Syria in general

Since the Turkish president launched his threats, many popular and official positions have emerged against these threats and have been rejected at the international and regional levels.

Erdogan's threats were rejected completely. Al-Salama said "We reject his threat. It will not frighten us because we have had experience of self-defense and liberating our peoples from injustice and tyranny"

"We are now here thanks to the blood of our martyrs in SDF. They liberated us from the oppression of IS, and we are ready to defend our land with all our material and moral means."

On the news of a meeting between the Turkish state and some of those who claim to be representatives of the tribes in the eastern Euphrates region, Sheikh al-Salama stressed that "the elders who met with the foreign countries for their interests are the ones who sell themselves and their cause, they are called mercenaries".
