Women of Afrin start hunger strike effectiveness

Under the slogan "We will destroy the Imrali system and live freely with the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan", the first day of hunger strike was organized by Kongra Star in the village of Babens in al-Shahba canton, with the participation of 60 women in the event, which will be lasted for three days.

The place decorated with pictures of martyrs form the Resistance of the Age, and pictures of the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, pictures of the co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and the Parliamentarian in the Democratic People's Party in Julêmêrk, Laila Cuven,  flags of Kongra Star, and slogans reading: "We will destroy the Imrali system and live in freedom with the leader Ocalan Abo, the freedom of the leader Ocalan is the peoples' freedom, revolt for the freedom of the leader and confront the Turkish occupation.

A member of Kongra Star coordination in Afrin canton, Newrouz Hashim said "As women of Afrin, and during the second phase of the Resistance of the Age, we declare our solidarity with the activity of Leila Cuven and salute her resistance in the prisons of Amed and her stability against the outbreak of the Turkish state,"

Anotherr speech was delivered on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Council by Hajar Maho and Thuraya Habash, where the words have talked about the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan who struggled for the freedom of the peoples. The words said "We as women have to play our leading role and escalate our struggle to lift the isolation of Ocalan,"

The statement also condemned the silence and the disregard of the international humanitarian and human rights organizations towards the Turkish state policy against Ocalan and the people of North Syria.

The hunger strike is scheduled to last for three consecutive days.
