Turkish Intelligence Jokur Cell admitted

In the past few months, cells have been calling themselves with multiple names, have been active in several areas of northern Syria, especially Manbij city and committed a number of crimes and bombings that targeted fighters of the Syrian Democratic forces and Arab sheikhs to inflame the situation in the region.

According to a written statement issued by the Media Center of the People's Protection Units (YPG) on the 4th of this month, their units monitored the Turkish-backed intelligence cell for more than a year within the territory of the Euphrates region until some of the perpetrators were identified and arrested.

The cell was active in the cities of Ain Issa, Manbij, Girê Spî / Tal Abyad and Serin town. They were planning for some operations in Kobanî city and were receiving instructions, weapons and ammunition, as well as explosives from Turkish-occupied areas such as Jarabulus and al-Bab.

The cell is consisted of five elements, including Ahmed Yassin from al-Raqqa city; the perpetrator of bombings that targeted a number of cities, Abdul Muhaimen Shaikhani from Jarabulus city; the coordinator with the Turkish intelligence and the planner for the bombings, Mahmoud Abdel Qader Bako from al-Bab city; the guider of the terrorist cell, Rateb Mohammed Barakat of Aleppo city who was carrying out a terrorist operation in Manbij, and Aboud al-Aboud from Manbij; the guider of the intelligence group.

The members of the intelligence cell revealed in special meetings conducted by ANHA agency the secrets of the Turkish plans in Syria. At first, most of them said that they cannot appear on the media for fear of their relatives in the occupied areas in northern Syria by Turkey for being killed and displaced.

Entebbe city… Meetings to activate the intelligence work in Syria 

Abdul Muhaimen, who lives in Jarabulus city, said that one day, he was offered to be an intelligence service for the Turkish government in Manbij city by "Abu Imad". His job would be to provide security information and precise coordinates on the presence of some of the leaders of Manbij Military Council. Abdul Muhaimen did not receive any information during one day he spent in Manbij city.

Abdul Mohimen said, "Abu Imad invited me to meet with Nazmi; a Turkish intelligence officer in Entebbe city who said in turn that I had to know someone from Manbij city to help us in the intelligence operation in the region."

Abdul Muhaimen was introduced to Ahmed Yassin who was a member of Manbij Military Council. Ahmed comes from al-Raqqa, he is the father of two children. He accepted to work with Abdul Muhaimen and began receiving orders from Abu Imad who is directed by the Turkish government.

In turn, Ahmed Yassin says that he began receiving money from Abu Imad who was in Jarabulus city for every information he gave about the names of the military commanders, and security and military headquarters in Manbij.

Relations between the Turkish intelligence and Ahmed Yassin have developed to allow the latter to carry out bombings inside the city of Manbij for large sums of money.

Yassin says, "They told us to assassinate high-level military commanders. They also said that you can also target administrators in the civil institutions and Arab tribal sheikhs in Manbij. They said in one word that the most important thing is sabotage."

The cell used to transport explosives from Jarabulus to Manbij city, al-Mehta Shipping Office which shipped the goods, including the wrapped explosives, without anyone being aware of this, and with the awareness of the director of the office, Muhammad Mansour, from Jarabulus city who is a Turkish intelligence agent.

Ahmed later carried out a number of bombings inside Manbij targeting military fighters within the forces of Manbij Military Council.

Thousands of dollars provided by the Turkish intelligence for the assassination of the commander-in-chief of SDF

At the beginning of this year, the Turkish intelligence offered $ 50,000 to Ahmed Yassin in exchange for the assassination of the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi. Ahmed immediately accepted the offer and received the explosives coming from Jarabulus city and transferred them to a meeting held by SDF commanders in Ain Issa town, North Syria as he was a fighter within the ranks of the Manbij Military Council and Mazloum Abdi attended the meeting.

Yassin threw the explosive device in a car in front of the building where the meeting was held, and Abu Imad asked him to write on the paper "Allah Akbar, al-Qiyam Movement carried out the military operation" in addition to the date of that day and filming that.

During the departure of the commander-in-chief of SDF, the explosive device exploded in the car accompanying Abdi's vehicle, and a fighter lost his life while three others were wounded.

While the intelligence cell was preparing for operations inside the territory of Kobanî canton, particularly the northern city of Kobanî, Special Operations Forces of the People's Protection Forces arrested the group, which admitted that it is operating under the direction of Turkish intelligence.

Al-Qiyam Movement and its transformation into "Jokur"

Nazmi, the Turkish intelligence officer, named the movement to carry out the operations of the intelligence cell in the cities of northern Syria, which used to take from social networking sites a platform to launch footage filmed during the bombings, based in Gaziantep.

The name of the "al-Qiyam Movement" was changed to "Jokur Movement" which Ahmed was asked to write it on paper during the implementation of the bombings, and "Jokur" known as the name of one of the most famous Turkish films which means "hole" in Turkish.
