Yemeni government, Houthis exchange captives, detainees

An official source told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that the delegation of the Yemeni government in Rimbo city in the Swedish capital Stockholm, gave the Houthis names of 8,200 people, including members of the family of the late Houthi President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Al-Masirah channel, which is loyal to the Houthis, quoted from sources in the Houthi delegation confirming the exchange of lists, noting, "The number of names reached about 15 thousand of the two parties."

A source in the government delegation and another source in the Houthi delegation confirmed that the exchange will take place in stages at the capital Sana'a airport under the control of the Houthis and the airport of Sayoun city under the government's control in the center of Yemen.

The international envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, said on Monday at a press conference in Sweden that the declaration of the agreement and the details of the exchange of prisoners, which has been signed earlier will be in the next two days.

In addition to the talks, the Yemeni people are witnessing a humanitarian crisis, which the United Nations called as the worst famine in the world.
