A mercenary killed while trying to plant mine next to church in al-Raqqa

One of the mercenaries was killed while he was trying to plant an explosive device near the church "Maryam", located on the southern side of al-Rashid Park in the center of al-Raqqa city.

The media center of the Internal Security Forces in al-Raqqa confirmed on Thursday morning (December 6th) that an explosive device basted at a mercenary while he was planting it near the church of "Maryam" that is located on the southern side of al-Rasheid Park downtown al-Raqa to target the people, and that led to his immediate killing.

The official of explosives' experts of the Internal Security Forces in al-Raqqa pointed out, "The killing of the terrorist was confirmed, in addition to finding another 15 kg device that was ready for detonation to be successfully removed after securing the surrounding and separating it from the perpetrator."

It is worth mentioning that these incidents have been repeated more than once in the past week. Two mercenaries were killed in the eastern and northern countryside of the city in the same way as they were attempting to commit crimes against the civilians and to destabilize the security and stability of the area.

The Internal Security Forces therefore called on the citizens not to approach alien objects and to report about them to the nearest Security Forces' center to remove them safely.
