70 People are on hunger strike in support of Leyla Guven's demands

Under the slogan "Let’s Break the Isolation, Let’s Combat the fascism to Live Free with Leader Ocalan."

Today, 70 women and a man in Qamishlo city have gone on a hunger strike in the tent set up by Kongra Star and the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in support of the co-chair of the Democratic Society and Parliamentary of the Democratic Peoples' Party(HDP) in of Colemêrg city of Bakur Kurdistan (North Kurdistan) Leyla Guven and to lift  the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, in al-Siahi neighborhood of Qamishlo city.

The hunger strike began with holding a minute of silence, followed by a speech delivered by the administrator of Kongra Star Dalia Hanan who said "We support Leyla Guven, who went on hunger strike to break the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan more than two years ago."

The hunger strikers Sheikh Matar Yusuf and Adila Khalaf explained that the thought and philosophy of leader Ocalan is the path of freedom for the peoples of the region and will support any activity or event in order to lift the isolation on Ocalan.

It is noteworthy that this hunger strike will last for two consecutive days.
