“Difficulties prevented participants from attending the forum”

A member of the Preparatory Committee of the International Forum on Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change in Afrin Jihan Khalil noted that the forum went smoothly in the first day as planned, with the exception of some obstacles, which were the difficulty of the arrival of some participants from outside Syria.

The first session of the forum, which focused on the political aspect of the Turkish occupation of Afrin, was held today, while the second session which was due to be held today was postponed due to lack of time. As for the progress of the first day of the forum, ANHA agency met with the member of the Preparatory Committee of the forum Jihan Khalil.

Khalil pointed out that the activities of the first day of the forum went well according to the planned program, but the difficulty of the arrival of some participants and obstruction that appeared on the borders of Başûr Kurdistan has affected somewhat the course of the forum and the recommendations and discussions that would appear during their participation.

The second session of the forum was postponed until the second day of the forum due to the useful and long lectures in the first political session, and the result of discussions between the lecturers and the audience.

The second day of the International Forum on Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change in Afrin will begin tomorrow at 09.00, with four sessions focusing on the military, cultural, historical and legal aspects of the occupation of Afrin.
