Talal Mohammed: KRG must support Kurdish parties not close their offices

The co-chair of the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, Talal Mohammed, said during an interview held by Hawar news agency on the decision of Kurdistan Region Government of Başûr to close the offices and headquarters of Kurdistan Democratic Society Movement, "The decisions issued by the Region of Başûr Kurdistan to close the offices of Kurdistan Democratic Society Movement in Başûr is a non-positive step and does not serve the Kurdish Cause. Moreover, these parties are licensed by the Iraqi central government, this step is not accepted and the political offices must not be easily closed in this way."

Talal Mohammed pointed out during his speech that Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party is considered one of the parties that are struggling for the Kurdish movement and working on the democratization of Başûr Kurdistan, and this party has no other aspects for the authorities of Başûr Kurdistan Region to close all their headquarters.

He pointed out that this step which was taken by Kurdistan Region does not serve the interests of the Kurdish people and does not serve the unity of the Kurdish row because the enemy of the Kurdish people is always trying to create a kind of confusion among the Kurdish parties to be able to undermine their will.

He wished Kurdistan Region Government to work to support the Kurdish people and their political parties in the rest parts of Kurdistan and not to close the offices of the Kurdish political parties. He said, "The Region of Başûr Kurdistan is required to work seriously in all areas of Kurdistan to serve the Kurdish people and support them, and closing the offices of the Kurdish parties does not serve this interest and immediately, the authorities of Başûr Region must reconsider their calculations."

He said that the step of closing the headquarters of the Kurdish parties in Kurdistan Region serves the interests of the enemies of the Kurdish people and strikes the gains which have been achieved by the Kurdish people throughout the years of struggle.

The co-chair of the Democratic Peace Party, Talal Mohammed, demanded at the end of his speech the authorities of Kurdistan Region to reconsider their policies and reopen the offices of the Kurdish parties that have been closed to continue their work in the service of the people of Kurdistan.
