MSD listened to Deir ez-Zor countryside people's demands

The meeting, which was held in al-Kasra town in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, started with holding a minute of silence. Then, a speech was delivered by the Joint Presidency of MSD, Riyad Derrar, in which he said: "We are honored to be among these good people, and we are talking and discussing the developments, many things have changed that need to be clarified.”

He added, "The achievements start every day and grow bigger. We started with a single point of defense of honor and homeland. It was an autonomy from the city of Qamishlo against the project of sectarianism and tyranny. The Syrian people are one united nation. We do not want the conflict to be Kurdish and Turkish, and on the occasion of World Day for Combating Violence against Women we remember that women have a great role during the stage we are going through and is involved in all fields."

He added: "MSD has its internal constitutional battles and the obstacles of democracy are the international resolutions change, and the homeland is called a homeland on two bases, the rule of law and the freedom of individuals, but international parties and foreign agendas want to destabilize the security of the region so our people must be vigilant to these conspiracies."

For his part, a member of the Political Council of the Syrian Democratic Council Hassan Mohamed Ali said, "We seek to promote the reality of service in the liberated areas, and we must be appropriate to this people’s sacrifice, there are major conflicts in the region, and all countries are trying to sow sedition in the north-east of Syria."

Then the meeting divan opened the door to listen to the complaints and demands of the people, the most prominent of which was the demand to improve the service and educational reality.

In response to the complaints and inquiries, the co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil council, Ghassan al-Yousef, said: "in short time, we have rehabilitated 45 schools. We are working hard to repair the rest and get them out of ruins. A water station has become in service, and we seek for the best service for our people."

Derrar said at the end of his speech, "We rely on the principle of transparency to convey the truth as it is. Now our people have informed us of what is going on and heard the service problems they are suffering. We can respond to them as soon as possible because we are in the process of establishing departments that can provide everything that is useful and achieve real security and services."
