A few days after monitoring the movements of a group suspected of trafficking and promoting drugs, members of Anti-Organized Crime Office managed to arrest eight people who make up a group that is involved in drug trafficking and promotion.

The arrests took place on Friday, when the Internal Security Forces ambushed the group and arrested them when they gathered in a house with large quantities of drugs.

According to the information provided by the Anti-Organized Crime Office, they were able to confiscate the following materials: "Hashish of palm paste. 340 g of grated Hashish, 1510 pills of different type of capeticol."

The group was transferred to the Prosecution and Investigation Commission to receive a fair legal penalty.

The operation comes in the context of the work of the branches of the Internal Security Forces in the regions of northern and eastern Syria to reduce the groups that promote drugs and trade.
