Al-Sheikh Maqsoud citizens: Strugglers' resistance led to reducing violence

In conjunction with the World Day of Combating Violence against Women that marks 25 November each year as this declaration came after the assassination of the three sisters Mirabel by Raphael Trujillo, citizens of al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood noted that after the women's revolution in North Syria, women managed to reduce of the violence against themselves.

The citizen Ahmed al-Abdullah pointed out that the birth of violence was the result of the control of the masculine mentality on the society, and thus, the role of women was dissolved and erased to become slaves then controlled by men according to their wishes.

He noted, "In this period, we can say that the mentality of violence against women has declined in proportion to what is happening in our society as a result of the application of the principle of the democratic nation."

For his part, Othman Blenc said that since the birth of mankind, it has been known that women have discovered life and ways for the continuation of life. However, the male mentality has deprived them of their rights and made everything possible for men; however, women and after Rojava Revolution managed to regain their leading role in all fields.

Othman recalled the resistance of strugglers such as Arin Mirkan, Barin Kobani, Avista Khabor, and Amara who had held arms against the enemy, and with their sacrifices, they resisted the enemy's mentality against women.

The citizen Muhammad Hussein said, "Having studied the role of women and their rights closely through the analysis of the leader Ocalan, we have known that women represent the whole community," stressing the need to reduce violence and combat all its kinds.
