They named their camp "Return" as expression of resistance

After the displacement of the people of Afrin to al-Shahba canton due to the occupation of the Turkish aggression and terrorist mercenaries of their lands, the people were forced to live in places not suitable for housing, such as shops, houses destroyed by shelling, mosques and schools.

In order to accommodate the residents and ensure better housing, the people's municipality, in cooperation with the local administration, set up the fifth camp to receive the residents of Afrin in Ziyara village of Şêrawa district in Afrin canton.

After securing a suitable land for the establishment of the camp, 40 tents have been erected so far.

As a result, the camp's administration began registering and receiving the people of Afrin who were forcibly displaced from the villages and districts of the canton. About 27 families' names have been registered so far.

According to the camp's administration, the camp's ground can accommodate 150 to 200 tents.

The new camp was named according to the desire of the people in the name of "Return" as an expression of the insistence on the resistance, liberation and return to their homes.

Samira Abdel Rahman told Hawar news agency that the people's municipality is working to speed up the preparation of the camp and the provision of better shelter for the people.

Samira Abdel Rahman appealed to the international relief and humanitarian organizations to secure the needs of Afrin residents.
