ISF in Kobanî arrested group of criminals

The Internal Security Forces in Kobanî canton in the Euphrates region arrested a group of criminals carrying out criminal operations in the canton.

As reported by the Internal Security Forces on their official webpage, their forces on Saturday, 17 November, arrested a group of persons carrying out criminal operations in Kobanî.

They said that after information was obtained about the exposure of a citizen in Kobanî canton to an operation of robbing and attempted murder, the Office for Combating Organized Crime was rushed to follow up the case, initiate investigations and collect the necessary evidence.

Through the search, investigation and monitoring of surveillance cameras in Kobanî canton in the Euphrates region, the perpetrators were identified.

An official at the Office for Combating Organized Crime confirmed that a network consisted of five people had been arrested for the crime of murder and wanted to carry out another criminal operation in an organized ambush.

After the investigation, a group of persons was transferred to the Prosecution and Investigation Committee to receive the fair penalty.
