Al-Jarba: North Syria sheltered us, we are ready to repel attacks

The sheikh of al-Shemmer tribe in Iraq, al-Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Jarba, came to Syria after the attacks launched by IS in Iraq, and he is living now in North Syria.

As for what he sought in North Syria and the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the area, ANHA agency conducted a meeting with al-Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Jarba.

We have been welcomed the best reception

At the beginning of his speech, al-Sheikh Jarba thanked the Autonomous Administration for its good reception of the Iraqi refugees. He said, "I would like to thank the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in North Syria for welcoming the Iraqi refugees who have been enforced to leave their homes because of the oppression of IS, and for presenting all kinds of aid to our Iraqi people, and their appreciation of our situation and the circumstances that we lived and passed by."

We hope that Autonomous Administration project in Iraq will also be circulated

Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Jarba said that the Autonomous Administration is a national project and is able to solve all problems not only in Syria, but in all countries in the area. He continued, "Iraq is witnessing and suffering from the same conditions as Syria so we hope the Iraqi Government to take this unique experience as a model for solving the problems in Iraq as well. The experience of the Democratic Autonomous Administration is a model of solving the problems in Iraq as well, and it would be the solution for the Syrian crisis. Therefore, this project must not remain within the Syrian borders only."

Al-Jarba explained that the best and most correct solution to resolve crises, enhance social and political ties among all peoples and confront that terrorist attacks is the experience of Autonomous Administration.

'The relationship of tribes with its administrations and SDF is very good, it must be strengthened'

Sheikh Jarba described the relationship of SDF with the tribes of the area as very good. He said, "If any problems emerge, we find them resolved through dialogue. Therefore, these relations must be strengthened. All clans must be in harmony with Autonomous Administration because it preserves their rights and protects them.

'Turkey is trying to destabilize the security and stability of this area which has become a shelter for thousands of displaced persons and refugees'

Abdul Aziz al-Jarba condemned the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army on North Syria. "I strongly denounce and condemn the attacks carried out by the Turkish army on North Syria. These attacks are blatant and unjustified," he said.

He said to Erdogan, "We do not know what you want from North Syria. Have the security, stability and social cohesion in North Syria enraged you?, and I say to Erdogan that North Syria is a safe area, so get out of it." 

'We are ready to participate in repelling the attacks'

At the end of his speech, al-Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Jarba said, "Today we live on this land and we eat of its good. We are prepared to take part in repelling the attacks on North Syria areas and to make sacrifices to preserve the security and stability of the area.
