'Targeting women is targeting the democratic system

On the occasion of the World Day Against Violence against Women, the Women's Department of the class issued a statement, in which the Women's Department of al-Tabqa, the Women's Committee in the Civil Administration of al-Tabqa, the Syrian Women's Academy, members of civil institutions.

Pictures of the three martyrs: Sabreen, Rasha and Sharara who were killed due to the out-dated traditions which practiced violence against women reaching murder, "Violence against women is a crime against society, no for the exclusion of women, our freedom, our dignity, no for violence against women," banners with these slogans written on were held.

The text of the statement read by the administration in the Department of Women in al-Tabqa Zahra Hamadeh:

"The cycle of violence in all its forms against women continues to peak in the twenty-first century and hardly a day passes without a woman being killed, raped or beaten.”

This violence, which dates back about seven thousand years, reached the peak in the Middle East, which formed the cradle of the Mother Gods.

"While many call for women's freedom in theory, we see repeated crimes against women in all parts of the world, especially the Middle East," Zahra said.

"At the beginning of this month, the young woman Sabreen was killed in the village of al-Salhabiyya and a few days later, another young woman in Jarablus was killed," the statement said. "The Iranian regime is preparing to execute Sharara Ilyasi to perpetuate the masculine regime in suppressing all calls for freedom."

"We are in the management of women, we emphasize that the targeting of women is not physical targeting, but the targeting of the democratic system mutated on women because male regimes are concerned about the will of women and see a threat to their existence."

"From here, al-Tabqa, we condemn all the crimes committed against women and call upon all women in northeastern Syria and the world to act against these systematic crimes to put an end to the persistence of male regimes in their repressive practices," the statement said.
