"Kobanî International Film Festival " started, with the participation of filmmakers and musicians from different countries. The first day of the festival was limited to introducing the festival committees to attend and prepare photos for their presentation tomorrow.

Kobanî International Film Festival was launched at Baqi Kheddo Center for Culture and Art in Kobanî. The festival, which is of great importance, is attended by dozens of personalities, including musicians and film directors from different countries, as well as administrators of Democratic Autonomous Administration in Kobanî canton.

The festival began its activities on the 58th anniversary of the Amuda Cinema Massacre, in which 250 children lost their lives in Amuda city, in northeastern Syria, following a fire in Shehrazad Cinema.

According to the Preparatory Committee of the festival, organized by "Rojava Film Commune", at least 80 of the 400 films sent to the committee from different countries of the world will be presented.

Most of the films revolve around the concept of women's freedom, some of which are on sticking to the resistance, and a large number of films about the resistance that took place in Afrin.

Filmmakers from countries around the world, such as Peru, Brazil, Iceland, Mexico and France, attended the festival in Kobanî.

The first day of the festival was limited to introducing the preparatory and arbitration committees to the public and preparing some of the photos that are due to be presented at the festival tomorrow.

The films will be screened for 7 consecutive days in Kobanî, with films later to be screened in Ain Issa camps, al-Shahba in northern Syria and Makhmour camp in southern Kurdistan.
