They formed cooperative association, contributed to community service

In the ages of the "Balolotik, Mezolotik, and Newlutik," the family used to wrap around women who were setting up social laws at that time, as the agriculture, livestock and the economy were among the works and duties of women, but after the formation of empires and due to the male mentality, they have been taken away gradually from the economy, and they have reached the point of making women a commodity to be sold and bought.

After the era of empires, feudatories came and practiced the same policies against women, and capitalism was not better off as it made women a commodity, and used them in promotion as well.

Despite socialist revolutions that are anti-capitalism, there was no place for women, and of course, those revolutions did not reach their goals.

Today, in North Syria and Rojava, after the revolution began, a new economic system is being established in which women are at the forefront of its administration, and therefore, the revolution of Rojava was defined as "the Women's Revolution" because women are the vanguard in this revolution. In this revolution, women could build their institutions, among these institutions "the Women's Economic Committees of Kongra Star. In all areas of North Syria and under the auspices of Kongra Star, opportunities have been provided for the construction of a special economy for women, including vocational courses such as sewing, cooperative associations and nursing courses. Women now are at the forefront of the work within all institutions in the area.

'Maybe to be a few, but we took important steps'

A spokeswoman for the Women's Economy in Serê Kanîyê, Gulistan Abdi pointed out that the economy is one of the important aspects of interest to Kongra Star. She said, "For women to return to life, they must build their own economy and develop it. This is a new step for society because the economy has been exclusive to men for thousands of years, and in order to get things back to their normal situation, we need to work hard, and perhaps our work is still a little, but we have taken important and great steps in this context.

'We must make the women understand that the economy is their effort'

She pointed out that there are three cooperative societies for women, one of which is agricultural, the rest professional, and that there was also a trade association, but as it was not used in the best form, it was stopped, she added, "The people have not understood the foundations of cooperative associations well, and women are not enthusiastic about the economic field because they are thousands of years away from their reality, their efforts, their history, and therefore women must understand that the economy is returned to their efforts."

As correspondents to Hawar news agency, we visited a women's cooperative association and it is a generator of electrical energy which was called the "the Martyr Frashin Association."

'The important thing is that we did not extend our hands to anyone'

Shamsa Fahed Amin, the member of the Cooperative Association said, "As time passed, all the members of the association became women, and now, we are 11 women for women to regain their place in the economic field. The good thing in this field is that we do not extend our hand to any man and we no longer need them in the economic field."
