Sheikh Ali: US decision subject of resentment, ridicule among millions of Kurds

ANHA agency met with the secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party (Yekiti) Muhie al-Din Sheikh Ali to talk about the US decision to pay a financial reward to whoever would give information about the whereabouts of three leaders of the PKK, Murat Karayilan, Cemîl Bayik and Duran Kalkan.

The US administration's move to escalate against the PKK came in line with Turkey's escalation of its historic and chronic battle against the struggling Kurdish presence, not only in Turkey, but throughout the area, although this growing and widespread presence that is today more than ever forms the opposite of racism and the role of political Islam with its various brutal terrorist arms such as IS organization and the formations of al-Qaeda and its production bases."

America pursues double policies

He noted that the situation in North Syria has been marked by dramatic developments and consequences affecting the crux of the regional-international conflict on Syria.

Turkey's efforts today and its field preparations to finish off the areas of eastern Euphrates in North Syria are only a strong indication of the above, especially that it rushes to mobilize as much as possible the remnants of IS and the Syrian opposition groups to engage them in treacherous attacks against the inhabitants of the villages and areas east of the Euphrates, especially the Autonomous Administration and People Protection Units (YPG), one of the main factions in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which have had and still have the major role to defeat IS organization.

He added, "This is where the US resorted to partial and double policies in the hope of curbing Turkey "Erdogan" even if this requires restricting "SDF" through taking measures limiting the mobility of the YPG-YPJ in order to stop the steady development of the Kurds' struggle and their active presence in North Syria scene, and to satisfy "Turkey", its ally to expand in the territory of others."

He concluded saying, "This holds us more than ever to reaffirm the need for regular meetings and consultations to hold a national conference to set forth the groundwork for joint action in defense of the cause of the Kurdish people in their struggle and the project which keeps expanding and growing despite everything and remains highly respected and appreciated by whoever cares of the issues and tasks of the work for the realization of peace, freedom and equality away from terrorism and racial discrimination."
