Al-Tabqa people: We are ready to defend our territory

Hundreds of people and members of civil and military institutions of al-Tabqa and its countryside have participated in the march which started from al-gas stadium towards the central market.

The demonstrators held the slogans calling for ending the barbaric Turkish aggression and the evacuation from all the Syrian lands in addition to holding banners with "Afrin goes towards freedom," "Afrin is the land of Syria and the pulse of Syria," "Death to the Turkish fascism," " Revolt against the Turkish occupation" written on.

During the march and after the crowd held a minute of silence, the co-chair of the Executive Council in al-Tabqa city Hind al-Ali spoke about the continuation of the Turkish occupation and its arrogance in dealing with the Syrian crisis and its occupation of the Syrian territories as the people revolted in the face of terrorism and looked forward towards building a free and democratic pluralistic society.

In her speech, Hind al-Ali also condemned the international silence about the barbaric attacks on Girê Spî and Kobanî. She noted, "We do not ask anybody's help in defending our lands."

On behalf of the Women's Administration in al-Tabqa, Suad al-Rashid has presented a speech in which she praised the freedom of the people of North and East Syria and that the free people are capable of breaking all restrictions, defending their land and liberating all lands occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries, namely Afrin.

For his part, Fawaz al-Khamisi, a resident of the eastern countryside of al-Tabqa who came to participate in the march expressed the rejection of the peoples of all forms of occupation exercised by the Turkish state directly or indirectly through its agendas in the area and that security which has been achieved by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will not be undermined whatever the Turkish army would try.

The young man Abdul Hakim al-Faraj condemned the Turkish aggression on Girê Spî and Kobanî and said, "We as youths are ready to sacrifice our lives to defend our land. The bombing on Girê Spî and Kobanî is a bombing on al-Tabqa and all of Syria. Syria will remain free, united and democratic with the vigor of its youths, and we will sacrifice our blood to liberate the last inch of the Syrian territory from the abomination of IS terrorism, Turkey and its mercenaries."
