SDC: Kobani's victory was basis for more victories , Turkey's attacks are threat to Syria's independence

On the occasion of the World Day of Solidarity with Kobani, on 1 November, the Democratic Syria Council  issued a communiqué recalling the heroic resistance against terrorism. The Council also condemned the Turkish attacks on the villages of Kobani and Girê Spî.

The council also stressed the decision of the Syrian Democratic Forces to pause al-Jazeera Tempest campaign unless the Turkish attacks stop.

The text of the statement is:

"Four years ago, at a historic and decisive moment, the entire world was holding its breath and seeing the black flags applying its siege on the city of Kobani in a scene where Kobani victory appeared as the key to victory for all the liberals who came out around the world and in all squares united with the heroes of the resistance in Kobani, they encouraged the historical epics,  made women an icon and a true symbol of life, dignity and resistance, the most prominent of which was the martyrdom operation carried out by the martyr Arin Mirkan, where she demonstrated to the world the extent of women's strength and resistance to terrorism.

While the world recalls its solidarity with Kobani on November 1 each year and on the fourth anniversary of the resistance, the heroes and leaders of the resistance are still fighting tirelessly against terrorism. The victory of Kobani has established more victories. Liberation of the city "Manbij-Tel Abyad-Raqqa" capital of Daesh, and the ongoing battles in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

In conjunction with the fourth anniversary of the World Day of Solidarity with Kobani, the Turkish army, in hostile behavior, is targeting the children of the resistance. The Turkish army fired during the last two days martyrs in both Kobani and Tel Wabid without justification for this attack, which serves terrorism and threatens the independence of Syria and its territorial integrity. The door is all the possibilities again, in the shadow of international silence brings to mind the scene in Afrin and those jihadist groups that occupied, and strives to annex it to the influence of the Turkish state.

We at the Democratic Syria Council, while recall the heroic resistance in Kobani, we call on all the free people around the world to join our cause and our resistance as the first gate to fight terrorism that threatens world peace and security. We also call upon the international community to take the necessary positions and actions towards Turkish threats to northern and eastern Syria and push for a political solution based on Security Council resolution 2254 and the formation of committees to rewrite the constitution without excluding any party.

We also emphasize the decision of our military forces to stop the recent campaign against the Daesh organization in Deir ez-Zor unless the Turkish state stops its attacks on the Syrian north. "
